Illustrative Pegasus output: Bank and ledger reconciliation — August close

Your close shouldn't depend on spreadsheets and follow-up emails.

Manual matching

Teams compare thousands of records every month, line by line.

Missing evidence

Finance chases receipts, approvals and explanations for every difference.

Late exceptions

Problems are discovered days into the close, when there is no time left.

Pegasus handles the repetitive work before your team gets involved.

How Pegasus works

  1. 01

    Connect

Pegasus connects to the systems where the work already happens.

Pegasus connects to QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, your bank feeds and Stripe through existing integrations. Nothing is migrated.

  2. 02

    Process

Rules and AI perform the repetitive workflow.

Rules and AI match records across sources, apply your tolerances, and group whatever does not match by likely cause.

  3. 03

    Review

Humans see only exceptions, risks and decisions.

Finance sees only the exceptions with the evidence attached, decides each one, and every decision is logged for audit.

AI does the volume. Humans keep the judgment.

FAQ

Account Reconciliation Automation FAQs

No. Pegasus connects to QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite and your bank and payment feeds through existing integrations. Your ledger remains the system of record. Pegasus reads transactions, proposes matches and writes back only the adjustments a person has approved.

You set the rules: matching tolerances, timing windows, and which differences can be matched automatically. Everything outside those rules is grouped by likely cause, whether a timing difference, a duplicate, a missing fee or an unmatched deposit, with the evidence attached so the reviewer starts from the answer rather than the search.

Every match, exception and decision is logged with the reviewer, the timestamp and the source lines. Segregation of duties is enforced by CIP policy, so the person who approves an adjustment is never the process that proposed it. Auditors get a complete trail rather than a spreadsheet of tick marks.

One month of bank or processor activity and the matching ledger export for a single account. CSV exports are fine. We do not need live system access for the pilot session.

You see every exception from your own period with the reasoning behind each one, and a plain estimate of how much of your close it would remove. If the numbers hold, the Finance Agent connects to your live systems and runs each period with your rules, usually within days.
